Description This is an Escape Room activity with an alien theme. The activity focuses on whole numbers place value (up to 6 digits). Students will answer questions about standard form, expanded form, word form, comparing numbers, and rounding.   An Escape Room is an adventure in which players solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints, and strategies to complete the objectives at hand.   In this Escape Room, students are presented with a situation. They are trapped in a space craft. In order to escape, they must solve 4 puzzles. Each puzzle gives them a key, which the teacher holds, and gives to each team as they successfully complete each puzzle.   The activity is designed to be played in small groups. Teacher forms teams.
